With the intervention of Russia in Syria, and a close call described in the thread in Society and Culture, has the King Of The North now begun his march South, as prophesied in the Bible?

Not possible. Robb Stark was quite clearly killed off by the evil Carr-Stark clan in season 2 and his only close contender, Stanis Baratheon, was killed at the end of season 4.

I assume he thinks Russia is the King of the North. I’m not sure who he thinks the King of the South is.

Well Queen of the South is a scottish football team, so king of the south must be a bloke from Dumfries.

In the books, Mosaic, Stannis is still alive (or at least his fate is uncertain, though one enemy claims his death), at the end of the fifth and so far last. So who knows? Maybe the king in the north means the leader of the Wights?

I think I like the books better, but the TV series has been very well produced.
