Maybe this quiz has a few typos (forth.fourth, alloy/allow) so it might be worth checking to see if the setter has issued any corrections

For 63 (-, before fruit,tree sawn down) i once suggested ACID DROPS ( sounds like a seed drops) but on reflection the first word has to be one letter.

The first word is probably A or I. The second word looks like SEED .
Maybe it begins I SEE and then a word staring with a D sound. I did wonder if the tree sawn down was hewn - that would give I See June (I seed hewn) but i don't know a song of that name.

Last word could also be logs or timber, or the name of a tree with a bit chopped off the end
