How can I escape from Worthing onto another rail service avoiding Southern Rail?

The only other operator at Worthing is Great Western Railway's Brighton to Cardiff service. Timetable here:

Know there is a way via Winchester but not sure of the carrier

The standard route is with Southern to Southampton Central and then with South West to Bournemouth.

You could do the first stage with Great Western instead but only at very limited times. For example, there's a train at 0922 tomorrow but the next one after that isn't until 1722.

It seems Southern are about to withdraw trains from the Brighton to Southampton route

^^^ You can still get there with Southern but you'll probably need to change trains at Barnham.
