Luton I can agree with that one!! Horrendous.

It was announced in August last year that Luton, number 3 on the list, had a 22 per cent per cent increase in house prices over the previous year. So despite its reputation there must be a few people that want to live there.

Dover's certainly not that great but I've got a bit of a soft spot for the place (having stayed there, while working, lots of times).

I haven't been to Hull for decades, so it might have improved a bit by now. After all, it is this year's UK City of Culture!

Luton's a dump but the people are surprisingly friendly.

Bradford has improved quite a lot in recent years.

Gravesend is 'uninspiring' but possibly doesn't deserve its place on the list.

Where's missing? Well, perhaps Margate should be on the list:

What is wrong with Dover? I have never been there, apart from getting the bus from the train to the ferry, but I thought it would be just a normal south coast town.

Dover is"little eastern europe" used to love the area and folkestone not now tho!

The only ones I've been to on that list are Blackpool and Sunderland. I thought Blackpool was ok in a tacky way.
Sunderland was over 25 years ago for me, but I remember staying in my friend's parents' huge, posh house. I didn't think it was remotely c r a p, but as I say, it was a long time ago.

Many large towns and cities are like the curate's egg. There are deprived areas and affluent areas.

Used to live near Dover at St Margarets at Cliffe, Dover is truly carp, we just never went there.
