Teen Smow will be 18 nxt week, and is coming to stay on Sunday with his new girlfriend! We're having a buffet party, cake, balloons(yes I'm a child lol) but I am absolutely stumped on what to get as a present!
I asked him what he wanted but he admitted he couldn't think of anything.
He has a car, a mountain bike, a phone - he loves music i.e. Vinyls as I bought him a record player for Xmas but has loads of vinyls now. He doesn't read really.....
I've got a really nice bottle of aftershave but apart from that I'm stumped!!

How about an Amazon voucher and then he can find something he wants.
Does he like football?
lads are so difficult..not many wear a watch either..if he does a "special" one..failing that a cash pressie ?

I hate giving money or vouchers tbh.(though sometimes they're the only option)
Yes he love football.(forgot that- doh!)
Not sure if he has a watch actually......, hmmmm
Watch back can be engraved !
He won't wear it. It'll get put in a drawer and forgotten. What about a digital camera? He might like trying some photography. Or vouchers for some exciting event/experience, driving on a race track, flying, gliding, white water rafting...something like that.
For my sons birthday I got him the latest Liverpool shirt (bloody £68) and a little figurine of a game he was obsessed with when he was little, some fancy biscuits and cash. All wrapped up in Toy Story wrapping paper. He actually phoned me and thanked me for the wrapping paper (before his birthday so he hadn't opened it) because it really made him smile.

His nick name is Buzz :-)
events sound good..but I'd like to give something he could keep as a memento /marker of a milestone birthday

Oh why have I left this so late??? I'm not even going to get anything personalised here in time am I!! Grrr
Have you got Amazon Prime?
I agree with the memento aspect, Minty . It's just that young people don't seem to wear watches anymore so it might just be put aside. If he does wear a watch, then an engraved one is a lovely idea.
I think Thomas Cook do gift cards / travel vouchers. What 18-year-old doesn't want to jet off on holiday to the sun and the bars !
Whereas I'm not into mementos.
Football tickets and the latest shirt, most retailers do next day delivery

He's an unusually sensible 17/18 Year old lol. Think Harry Potter/Rodney Trotter lol.
Add some money or a personal trinket from Mum that he can keep.

That's brilliant maydup!!
I like that, Maydup.
Yup that's nice
