He was the man who, with the backing of the Earl of Caernarvon, discovered the tomb of the boy king, Tutankhamen. He lived at 19 Collingham Gardens, London SW5. There is very much more to be said about this man, a very interesting story but not enough space here. Google should be able to help.

Howard Carter (May 9, 1874 � March 2, 1939) was an English archaeologist and Egyptologist. He is most famous as the discoverer of KV62, the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Egypt.
