Accents

I find accents really attractive. My hubbys Sunderland accent is sexy. I also like Scottish accents and any foreign accent, French, Italian, turkish - so sexy. Is it just me or do others like a nice accent? ps Il divo singing - corr!!!

Give me a good old Westcountry accent any day.mind you i like most accents..in..moderation.!!it taint your fault most of you cant talk proper.Blimey...my son ..brought some ..foreign students around one night and they all swore i was american. The English regional accent that is closest to the US accent is the West Country accent. Listen to a West Countryman and an American say the word 'last' and you'll see why. This was because West Country English was the establishment accent of the 17th and 18th centuries, when Bristol was the biggest city and commercially most important city in the UK, so most of the early settlers had West Country accents.And im not to keen on emmays accent either(what ever that may be)(:)lol.now where did i put me zyder..straw hanging out of mouth...(:)

I think most accents sound horrible when they get too harsh. A slight lilt is always nicer, no matter what accent. Liverpool is always slated and I agree that strong liverpudlian is horrible but no one can say that, for instance, the beatles sounded horrible.

incidentally, liverpool accents used to be a bit lancashire sounding, but scouse came about with the opening of the docks and there was an influx of irish, welsh and scottish people and all the strong accents got mixed. you can hear elements of each in it

A soft female voice with a gentle Western Irish accent turns me to jelly every time.........must make sure my wife doesn't see this.....!!

I just adore men with geordie accents who call me pet or flower! Also the lovely soft lilt of a southern irish accent.

south west irish very strong though, but i think most people refer to the dublin accent and around that area which is a lot softer, they are so different, by coincidence my fella is from the south west coast and my friends and family didnt realise how strong the accent was compared to other parts of ireland, i love it.
