When Should I Renew My Passport
Our two passports have absolutely ages to go before they expire, but, in the light of all the hysteria relating to passport validity and the need to renew in a timely manner, when do you think that we should think about renewing ours (adult, UK). Especially in the event of a no-deal Brexit, when we will need to have at least 6 months remaining on the passport. So - say my passport was due to expire in early December 2020, and given that it would probably take a month to process and be returned to me, what's your advice, folks? Many thanks, cheers Chox.

I was just wondering that, given this new 6 month thing, should we look to renew a year before the expiry date? My husband does a lot of foreign travel for business, so it wouldn't be much fun if he got refused at passport control because his passport didn't have the requisite 6 months validity on it. And we all know how time has a nasty habit of disappearing in the blink of an eye! Cheers, chox.
I believe the carrying over of any remaining validity has been withdrawn.
