But I'd like to know whether he experts think it really would make a huge difference.
A tiny part of me thinks we should just let the virus run and hope it runs its course and give us some immunity, although I know there is no certainty yet as to whether it can't reinfect recovered victims,, but I know no government could be seen to let hundreds of thousands of older and ill people, and others, die as the health system couldn't cope

Do as they have done in Fuerteventura and nobody will leave home .. It has also been ruled that people can only leave the house on their own and not in pairs, and as of tomorrow fines of up to 15,000 euros will be imposed for anyone found driving a car for an unnecessary reason.

My sister is in Spain and either her or husband can walk dog for long enough to do what it needs/get some exercise but they cannot go together. Can drive to shop but again only one of them. Police and army patrolling even on their golf complex which is gated. Nothing open apart from supermarkets, garages, newsagents and pet shops.
Oh blimey! This feels weird.
Down here in the south west we’ve pretty much escaped the bug so far. Apart from a few empty supermarket shelves and queues at the checkout.
The problems will show in the next few weeks when the tourist season starts. Will they come? If they do they’ll probably bring the virus, if they don’t businesses will suffer. Nightmare anyway up :(
