12 Days In The Yorkshire Dales

What a fantastic 12 days, the weather has been top notch. Where have I been? everywhere I could possibly get in 12 days, almost a different location by the day, night times in the middle of nowhere sleeping within beautiful locations, the peace and quiet was deafening. It was that warm on two particular nights I went to sleep outside with just an insect net overhead, not done that since I was younger. Its great just to get up next morning and move on, no booking, no hassle, just turn up when and where you want, stop the night or move on to somewhere else.
The food to buy round those parts is great , fresh eggs, freshly picked strawberry's, and the quality of the meat is out of this world. Stopped at a few out of the way pubs for a nice change from cooking, and again the food served up was first class. Best holiday I've ever had. Now back for 2/3 weeks then I'm looking at Scotland, that's if its still open? not seen much news while away. I know your all glad to have me back?? :0)

When one is on the move has you may well be in a motor home, rather than stay in one place for 2 weeks, then there must be a certain amount of common sense planning on a day to day, depending of course how long you intend to stay off grid. The so called planning can be done the night before and really takes no time at all. Take readings of fresh water available, take readings of on board cesspit, take stock of food supplies, none of the above have been a problem, neither has the power, with onboard solar panels. The only time the cesspit would become a problem is if one had the runs for 2/3 days, other than that I love a wee in the bushes when possible, or if their is a public toilet that may be available, all the latter will help keep the sewer level down. The toilet flushes from a 12v battery and I have three of them, ( batteries) it also has its own water supply, separate from drinking. Hope this helps. next? :0)))
