Advice, please.

We live in an old farmhouse, with the main gate approximately 100m line of sight from the router, albeit with a line of trees and shrubs in the way. I would like to install a battery powered camera to the gate post so that I can monitor visitors and general use of the lane leading to our property.

Any advice as to which product I should order? We are UK based.

Can you get a signal from your router at that location already?

100m is a long distance for wireless operation and how long do you expect batteries to last? I'm not optimistic that such a device will be available.

There is a “one bar” signal down by the gate. I could maybe install a battery powered signal booster to create a signal chain. These things seem to exist, but it is difficult to know where to begin such is the bewildering variety of stuff available, so I was wondering if anyone had any direct experience.
Me either bhg. My wireless cameras sometimes get "lost" by the router and they are attached to the house. Mind you they were cheap! Perhaps you need a non wireless set up ? If you don't need instant access perhaps that would be better?
Hard wire would be better, but at that distance you could still loose picture quality .

Thanks. There is power (and therefore ducting to carry the cable) so I could no doubt get a hard-wired system installed, but I was vaguely hoping there was a wireless alternative.
