He walked down a street lined with shops, paused at a doorway, looked around to see if anyone was looking, then stood at the corner of the shop window so that only the right half of his body was visible but reflected as in a mirror, then raised his right leg and arm so that it looked as though appeared as both legs and arms were raided. He then giggled to himself and walked off. Thats all I remember him doing, anyway.

Real name Harry Illingworth born in Yorkshire in 1917 (died in 1989). Comic actor playing a genial bungler ending up confusing all around him.
He started in showbiz as a ventriliquist after working as a miner. The Satn Laurel advised him to dump the dummy and become a stand-up comic..
Had his first TV show in 1959 - The trouble with Harry and ayear later in Here's Harry in which he did the infamous shop window routine. Here's Harry ran for 5 years follwoed during the 60s and 70s Harry Worth; Thrity Minutes' Worth; My name is Harry Worth;n How's your Father; and then as a brass band conductor in Oh Happy band.
