Really interesting programme. Taken me back years and years. I used to live in Warwick. The peacocks were amazing, they would come into the town centre and make for the supermarket, where the doors would be quickly locked. They loved the windows. Especially if there was a display of fruit or tomatoes in the windows, where they would peck at the glass to try and get at the fruit.
I also remember going round the castle and grounds with daughter and son in law and late husband. We didn't hear the signal for the castle being locked up. We couldn't get out, we had to climb the castle walls. SIL went first and then semi caught me when I got over. A few bruises to tell the tale but an interesting day.
I went before and after the Tussaud's group bought it and preferred the before version. It seems to be more of a theme park now that Merlin owns it but I will try and go in the summer and see how it's changed. Fascinating building
