Never been a fan of her work but understand her stance
"It's not about a political thing, it's a moral, ethical thing," she said.
"People had to watch their loved ones be buried on their telephone, or be cremated on their telephone," she added, noting how Her Majesty, The Queen had "sat there stoically alone" during Prince Philip's funeral.
This government, they need more compassion," she continued, with reference to the work's title. "That's what they need, not more passion, they don't need more party atmospheres.
"Most of us are obeying the rules in every single way because this pandemic has affected everybody so terribly - whether it's financially, whether it's health-wise, you know, whether it's people dying, and this government doesn't seem to care about that."
Cannot argue with that really

Perhaps she thinks people who work for the government weren't similarly affected when loved ones died. We were all separated from our families.

If they were similarly affected maybe they had 16 illegal wakes in Downing St or nearby ?

You're probably right, stickybottle. None of the Downing Street staff have parents and siblings they couldn't see - and its guaranteed none of them had people in hospital or grannies in care homes they couldn't visit.

Yes I probably am
If they did have relatives etc in care homes one can only imagine they would have been too dumb or hungover or organising the next one to make a trip to see the rellies through the window
You really ought to stop making excuses for them now though
You sound too much like Boris
He is very sketchy about the details too
