Or anyone who knows. I think, Tilly, that you once said you and MrT play Trivia Hero on Alexa.
Dave and I play this after dinner. Of late Alexa's speech recognition has become poor. Correct answers by either of us are buzzed out or she ignores an answer then gives three options which include our answer.

Thanks, Tilly. We like the pub quiz one but that's once a week. T. Hero was fun until the last week or so and now she is annoying. I keep telling her but she takes no notice. :-(

There are three things we miss about living in the UK. Our weekly pub quiz is one so we compete against each other at home til the village one returns after Covid....well except for The Listener....I leave that to him and the other clever folk!

Seriously, try the old trick of turning it off and then on again. Remove the power to BOTH your Alexa device (Echo Dot, or whatever) AND your router. Wait a minute or so, power both devices up again, give them a short time to reconnect properly to the internet and see if it makes any difference.

Thanks, Chris but Dave has tried everything he can think of. As for turning off…. It’s been doing that itself for up to thirteen hours over the past two days with all the power cuts we’ve had!
As for the drinks. I am never as thrunk as she drinks I am. :-)

The reason we haven't played for months is that I took the Echo dot upstairs to listen to some music whilst I was ironing. Afterwards, I put it in a safe place for later but, subsequently, couldn't remember where it was. I found it just the other day but haven't used it since.
Alexa might have gone off in a huff.

Dave has all our lights and everything that didn’t move when he set it up on Alexa. After a power cut she bursts everything into life. The last couple of days have been fun…..not.
