It's not even worth asking what's wrong with people who do things like this. Their problem is something decent human beings would never comprehend. Let's hope the CCTV was working well - and moreover, that if and when these morons are caught they're given

^^^ Listening to parents speak to children in the supermarket etc., I usually despair of the demanding, loud brats and the parents who give in or just let them get whatever they want. A couple of months ago I heard a young father say firmly to a little girl "I want, never gets" and she accepted it. I actually congratulated him and we had a really good chat. He follows the reasoning I did - I want a child I can talk to. There are still good parents around - but a minority.
