Footballers Stance
Do you agree that the political stand taken by the footballers in Qatar as the World Cup got under way was remarkably courageous. I refer not to England or Wales, whose captains had planned to wear armbands showing solidarity with homosexuals, only to cave in under pressure from the FIFA governing body, no not those jerks, I mean the Iran squad.
They represent a country where real oppression is taking place and where making a political statement is dangerous for themselves & their families, unlike wearing an armband or the ludicrous “taking the knee” gesture, neither of which have consequences but are intended to virtue signal how 'caring' the kneeler is, - really?

When I feel I'm in need of a script-writer, I'll let you know, (though it probably wont be you).
Meanwhile here's another result; the Iranians look like 'real men' & the English & Welsh with their pathetic rainbow armbands, look like a load of pansies.

Khandro, while I agree that the Iranian players should be applauded for their brave stand, even without wearing the one love armbands, the actions of those six nations and FIFA's moronic reaction to it has bought that cause to the public eye almost as much as wearing them would've.
In a country like Qatar, where homosexuality is illegal, it's an important stand to make.
