...in the forthcoming coronation of our beloved king, Charles?
I believe about 60,000 people identified as Wican/Pagan in the last census. While that's not a great number I believe they punch above their weight and are a force for good in our society.

Probably KC & his sunshine band will put brambles and herbies etc inside their silk shirt/blouses or even their undergarments.

Is Megan being allowed some input? Do Americans know of itching powder? It could be bought from joke shops many years ago.
I suspect the problem might be the lack of organisation, we have federations and councils but they wouldn't represent more than a tiny proportion of the pagan community. It has been said there are as many pagan paths as there are pagans and I suspect that is fairly close to the truth.
Never heard of Wiccan.

I suspect there's a higher proportion of people who identify as Jedi. Can they be represented?
The word pagan was used as an insult for a period of my youth for some reason from the tracksuit and balaclava wearing kind of scum
Wiccans follow a branch of paganism which is mostly Earth goddess based, some witches follow the Wiccan path but not all, there are pagans who follow the Celtic path and honour that pantheon, others the Norse path, others, the Egyptian, Greek, or Roman deities. Others follow a more eclectic path, using the attributes of the most appropriate deity or spirit for their needs at that time. In England it's mostly the Earth Goddess, and the green man, or the moon goddess and summer king in some combination.

Would Wiccans and Pagans recognise a mortal king? Would they want to be included?
about the same number of reformed Jews apparently
a/c to Snday R4 this morning.
( they believe if your Dad was a jew you are still possibly Jewish)

and they gonna innit - - - ( get a shoo in at the coronation)

Theing about charlie boy being a defender of FAITHS ( an idea from his mad wife) is that as a protestant prelate said - "the coronation cermenony IS a protestnat ceremony"

first wife that is
protestant so no Latin ( xc Vivat etc.....)
and no lardy dah about the Blessed Virgin ( aka St Mary)
Well not as something sanctified by any god. I can only speak for those I know, there is a line where civil authority is accepted as necessary but where personal freedom to act for the greater good might conflict. A lot of pagan practice is based on the feminine divine but in common with many other religions has to accept a world that doesn't reflect our choices.
As a man the King has shown himself, despite his committee Christianity to be open to other belief structures. His connection and commitment to green issues and the well being of the Earth show him to be closer to pagan principles than those who have followed a path saying God gave man dominion over the Earth, rather than stewardship of it.
no incense and no ting a ling
( those hand bells tringed at the consecration - poss pre-christian)

no not THAT ding a ling, you dirty boy - and sit down that boy at the back ! what is your name? Andres - - -
( with thanks to a Joyce Grenfell monologue)
I know, there is a line where civil authority is accepted as necessary but where personal freedom to act for the greater good might conflict.

dat is standard ROman Cartlic theology - Thomas Aquinas 1280 I think
( de regimine Judaeorum - about the governance of Jews ( in christian kingdoms). To what extent do you make them do christian lah de dah ( taxes obviously) and what extent do you leave them alone to goveern themselves)

everyone knows that
saying God gave man dominion over the Earth, rather than stewardship of it.

I have a biblical ( NT Greek of course) parallel for that
parable of the talents - the servants being man and the talents being earth
What about the Pastafarians ? Do they have any input ?
The Green Man is depicted on the Coronation invitation. Will that do?
