I think it's a great gift from the organisers to whoever comes across one.
Just a near midnight thought.

I never have. But I do enjoy the sight of a impromptu stranger playing a piano kindly placed in the middle of a railway station or wherever.

//Imagine you were walking through a shopping mall and you came across the band of the metropolitan police playing 'A policeman's lot is not a happy one', would you not consider that a serindipitius moment?//
Thanks Sandy
I think I would consider it was rank and file members of the Police Federation campaigning against poor pay and unfair working conditions. :-)

jno, Ouch - I bet he felt unloved. When the Queen and Zorba the Greek visited in the late 70s there were crowds of excited people everywhere. These days we seem to have lost our love of the royals.
My brother was saying that when Trump visited a few weeks back there was a pipe band waiting to serenade him. It seemed like a nice gesture from the locals. Then he informed me that Trump had arranged for the band to play and had paid for it.

Just last Wednesday I was walking to the monthly Mobile Library Bus at lunch time.
A young songstress was there, with her 'box of tricks' for backing etc.. She was a 'retro-singer' and we chose books to the sound of such as 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B'. When the handful of book-changers emerged, she carried on singing for another 10 mins.. It was really great and I was dancing in the street in the sunshine whilst others watched, listened and applauded.
Turned out the E. Riding Lib. Service have organised a month of events to raise awareness. Good for them. :) I wrote to the local paper to say thank you and they published my letter.
