Watching footie last night, CL qualifier, Panathinaikos v Braga. There was a guy playing for Panathinaikos called Juankar. I don't know how you'd pronounce this name, but is it another name for something else? Anyway, eight minutes from time, the Juankar got sent sent off. I wonder what his manager was calling him? Tis true folks. Ok, ok. I'll get my coat! :o)

Juankar is short for Juan Carlos

Stefan Kuntz used to bang 'em in for Germany, scoring against England in Euro 96.

Thanks Doc, but I suppose there are a few ways of pronouncing Kuntz. I think the most popular one I heard was Koontz. Not sure how about Juankar, though! Hey ho!

There was a very specific way England fans pronounced it, usually with an adjective.
