In what locations / places do you ALWAYS find things?

The key word here being ALWAYS.. Like if I was to go there now, I would find something.

A good example being underneth that fair ground ride that does a 360 and all your change falls out of your pocket.

The reason behind the question is that nearly everytime I go to a bar / club on a Friday night I will always find at least 10 pounds just sitting there, in front of the bar, waiting for me to pick it up.

Last year (2005) between Christmas eve and new years eve I think I must have found at least 40 pounds in 20 pound notes just by looking by the front of the bar.

So where can you guarentee that I will find something interesting?

try Barclays Bank, they tend to leave alot of spare cash lying around under those plastic bullet proof grill things just as a punter is paying in, if u are really really quick you can snatch a few ton.

dotjhawkes, although I bank with Natwest. At the very earliest opportunity I will be going to my local Barclays, armed with 100GBP worth of 1p coins.. for Barclays to convert into 1 pound coins for me.

Whilst they are busy helping me out (should take them 30mins I hope) I will be pacing up and down looking under these plastic things you are talking about.

If im succesful I 'll let you know and I'll buy you a can or Dr pepper.

Down the back of your sofa. You'll be amazed at things you'll find which you thought you had lost. When hubby and I first started living together , we were always skint because we were young , immature and didn't know how to manage our finances properly. After panicking about how we were going to buy our dinner and tide ourselves over until payday , I had a rummage down the back of the sofa and found several pound coins , fifty pence pieces , and the batteries from our remote control that I never got around to changing. These days we have a different sofa and we are a bit more organised with our finances but I still check every so often because I know i'll find money there. Also , my handbag turns up lots of little surprises. Many a day I sat in an important meeting at work , reached into my handbag and pulled out tiny little dollies , a dummy(pacifier , soother whatever you want to call it) , half chewed sweeties lovingly put their by my daughter (it's the thought that counts I suppose - she didn't want me to go hungry !) and on one occasion a Barbie doll's head ! Sometimes i'm frightened to put my hand into my bag , for fear of what I might pull out ! Incidentally , which bars do you go to where you find money just waiting there for you to pick up ? I'll need to go there because any bar I ever worked behind in pubs/nightclubs didn't have money lying on the bar - just comatose punters face down in a pile of vomit and I doubt if you'd want to pick that up off the bar !

I remember being a student in the 80s; there was a club called Confettis in Leeds and we'd always wait till the lights came on at the end then race around the dancefloor looking for spare change. That was only if we hadn't pulled, of course!
