Just watched it for first time in years. Who is the so called comedian with autism? Rubbish, if I dare say so.

Apart from the odd singer and magician the whole show is rubbish.  And don't start me on the judges and the two wooden tops  backstage.

I've just seen the tail end of it and a comedian has got through. Is that the one you are referring to dave?

The only talented act tonight was the male singer dressed like Batman.  Needless to say he was chucked off.  That's two hours of life I won't get back.

"Britains" Got Talent ....... surely it should be "The World's" Got Talent ?   The majority of the acts are either circus acts or ..... rubbish acts "selected" just for "entertainment".  How the so-called celebrity judges can give so much praise amazes me !  The winning act will probably be an animal on a trampoline with tourettes !

Yes elliemay, him. Not funny at all but of course because he's got autism (which seems to be half the population these days) then he's wonderful and hilarious.

It's supposed to be a spectrum, isn't it ? In which case 100% (or thereabouts) of the population has it.

I haven't watched it but just saw the winner announced. Is she a singer?

A very good singer.

Thank you Clone.

Well as you might expect, lots of complaints about the winner saying things like

"Another @BGT fix. another person who is trained in singing and theatre who has been on stage before"

This was the first time I'd seen it. The winning singer was very good, I thought. The magician so-so. I saw a man badly singing along to Kate Bush. Not sure what that was all about.

Can't bear Amanda Holden, or the two woodentops.

I watched it in blibs and blobs throughout the series... when I saw Sydnie Christmas 'audition' episode I knew she'd won it. She is very talented.

What really caught my attention was the 'Mama mia' performance for someone that doesn't like musicals that's saying something. The first lead lady had some really good eye catching attractive moves on her... and she could dance.

I'm not sure what their issue is.

There is no bar to anyone with experience applying to audition.

If people ony want amateurs to be considered, they should argue for a show along the lines of 'Britain's Got Amateur Talent' - but that's not what the show is called.

It's about talent, and if your talent is sufficient that it puts you in an advantageious position becuase you have exerience, then that is the reward for your talent.

The judges' job is to select the talent they think best - not the one they think best because they are an amateur with no experience, just the best.

And that appears to be what they have done, so there should be no complaints on that score.

That implies that the gentleman is given special treatment because of his autism.

I don't think that is accurate.

He makes his autism a centreal plank of his humour - and people may not like thatm or feel uncomfortable because of it - but that's not the same as being 'rewarded' for it.

I don't think the public are that cynical.

I think people with 'conditions' or sob stories are given preferential treatment.  It's one of the reasons I stopped watching.

I think you're right, but that's what makes good television for the people who like to watch this kind of thing.
