the ugly house/the crooked house??

does anyone know of this house?? i believe it's in wales and it may be a museum. when i was a child we used to travel from swindon to holyhead the scenic toute and pass it every year, if i remember rightly it was on a windy road on one of the bends. i'm sure it was called either the crooked house or the ugly house.

It's a pub called the Crooked House in Dudley. It's built on an old mine shaft and it's overpriced apparently. I've never been there but I just asked my Dad. That's if it's the same one you are thinking of.

The one you want is The Ugly House at Capel Curig. It is at the side of the A5 and is easy to spot opposite you as you come to a left bend in the road (if you are travelling towards Holyhead).

there is also a 'crooked house' in Peter Pans Playground at Southend On Sea! :-)
