Autographs

Since being asked for an autograph recently while playing with my band (which i was happy to give to the child and she was tickled pink) i've been wondering which star's autograph's are the hardest to get hold of and therefore most valuable?

Michael Jackson's autograph is certainly a collector's item, and any star's death increases the price tag on any signed memorabillia.
Dead stars genuine autographs are of course worth more than living ones (simply by virtue of the fact that there a limited and non increasing number of them!) I belive that the record for the most paid for an autograph was for either Shakespears, Elizabeth I or maybe it was Mozart (can't remember, but have a look on www.guinnessworldrecords.com)
Regarding today's stars then difficulty of obtaining them must be a controlling factor I would suggest the following:
Robbie Williams
Madonna
Micheal Jackson
bte my Mum has all of the Beatles autographs on one album cover... any takers?

No not at all just a star stuck kid who thought it would be fun. Certainly a boost to the ego though. and thank's everybody for the answers so far but i knew about inability to get close due to security so i was thinking more along the lines of a definite answer like say tom hanks never signs anything so he's the man to get. anyone know any info like that?
