I am looking for descendents of Harold Clutterbuck and Eva [Purcell] Clutterbuck. A daughter Eileen perhaps. Another name we have is Evelyn Clutterbuck of East Hastings. If anyone can help us out ,it would be greatly appreciated.

An unusual surname!

My uncle married an Eileen Clutterbuck (from Birmingham) who would have been in her eighties if still alive. Unfortunately she died something like ten years ago. Uncle is also dead, but they had a son (in America) and daughter (Worcestershire).

I remember that she mentioned having a fairly extensive record of her family tree.

There is a racehorse trainer from Newmarket called Ken Clutterbuck. Formerly from the east end of London.

Attention danube- Eva [Purcell] Clutterbuck Married Harold Clutterbuck and had a daughter Eileen [Clutterbuck] Pennell. We don't know what Eileen's husband's name was, but we do know they had 4 children that we know of---Rosalind-who played with The New York Symphony Orchestra. John [Jon] ,Martin, and Timothy. There is also mention of an Evelyn Clutterbuck who lived in East Hauling near Norfolk. Hope this will help you to narrow the confines.-RoseofSharon

There is a Harold Edward Clutterbuck on the 1881 census aged 7, (d1874) living in Bristol but born in Westbury On Trym Gloucester, son of Jabez Clutterbuck

There is an Eva Purcell aged 5 months on the 1881 census for 34 Warwick st London, daughter of Arthur Purcell, she was born in Pimlico and also on the 1881 census for Lambeth Surrey a Eva E Purcell born 1879 and living Kilburn Middlesex father William Purcell. Do you have a copy of the marriage certificate of Harold and Eva? This would give u their father's names and their ages at the time of their marriage.

Hi dotjhawkes- I don't have a copy of the marrriage certificate yet but am continueing to look for it.Thank you everyone for all your help.Not only have you helped me but my husbands Uncle Don also. He use to get letters from Eileen and lost touch with the family after the letters stopped coming. He is not well now and keeps hoping that we will reach the family members still living in Gloucester and surrrounding area.
