What do people think is the best name to give you as many nicknames and shortened versions as possible.
Alexander/dra is quite good = al, ally, alec, alex, xander, lexy, sandy, Sandra - but I would say Elizabeth is winning so far elly, eliza, liza, liz, lizzy, libby, beth, bet, betty although my favourite from elizabeth is zab or zabby, which I just made up. (I am going to use it in my next short story.)

Can any one think of any names that beat Elizabeth?
thanks

Margaret - marge, margie, margo, maggie, peggy, meg and a few others i cant think of right now. I believe Elly is a variation of Eleanor and Helen though. Its what I plan to name my first daughter and have looked up the meaning. Good luck with the story.
My nan's name is Elizabeth, and her neice's and nehews call her Lily-Beth cos they couldn't get it when they were little, I think this is a nice name of it's own!
