Celebrity
Why do the media use the word ''Celebrity'' so often.
A celebrity means '' Famous person'' so why are the like's of Chantelle who has recently won celebrity big brother called this?
They even use '' T.V star'' to often for my liking as well, Maybe i,ve got out the wrong side of the bed this morning, but its something that keeps niggling away at me.
Do you have a view on this.

I am not criticising Chantelle, or the consistently value-for-money Max Clifford who has handled her 'career' with his usual expertise, but this is someone who has done nothing and continues to do nothing, but is famous beyond reason.
A 'star' however, is something different again - ergo, Chantelle is a 'celebrity', Mick Jagger is a 'star'.
Simple.
