In today's edition of Metro newspaper, Mike Skinner from The Streets has been quoted saying: "I'd like to work with Rachel Stevens to help her career get back on track."
There has been no response from Rachel and her management as to acknowledge, accept, or revoke his over, but it is always nice to see others in the music business who care for our pop princess starlett.
However, in the 3 December, 2004 article printed by The Daily Records, Skinner was quoted saying:
The Streets' Mike Skinner has sent a grovelling apology to Rachel Stevens. Mike famously claimed his track "Fit And You Know It" was about the former S-Club babe.
And the Streets' star went further, saying he wouldn't be responsible for his actions if he ever ended up in the same room as the singer.
"I think I scared Rachel a bit' cos some TV reporter in some bar and said 'What is Fit and You Know It all about? And I was drunk and I was like 'go away'," said Mike. "Then I said 'it's Rachel Stevens and I won't be responsible for my actions if I was in the same room as her' and it got requoted and it made me sound an absolute animal.
"I'm a genuine ladies man and I'm really friendly. So I didn't mean to offend you, Rachel, and I did apologise. I sent an apology to her management."
