Hi, not sure if this is the correct category but hope you can help. This question may be quite silly but... Could anyone tell me how much it would be for ground rent (on average) for a static caravan. I know it can vary a lot on different sites and locations etc but just a rough estimate please. Thanks in advance.

Hi, my mum and dad have a tourer (sp) caravan on an indepedent site (not haven etc) in Filey (north yorks) they leave it there all season and it is stored there so its treated like a static caravan and they pay 1000 per season which is from March to Oct.

Ps it seems to go up 50 every season
Is it year round residential? Would you be allowed to hire the caravan out?

What facilities are on the site?

Where is it? Close to tourist attractions or the beach?

It is impossible to say. There is no such thing as an average.

Look at several sites and get the details.
Hi, we have a static caravan in Kent and it costs 2000 a year before electric, water and gas and insurance! But it is a large park with 800 units and has pools and bars and other facilities. As Ethel points out you have to decide what you want from a park and whether you can or want to rent out. Beware we had a nightmare renting out and will never do it again. Do your homework before you decide.
