Wasn't sure where to put this but I was wondering if anyone knew where the main estate for the Duke of Leeds was? I know that the title ceased to exist in 1964, but I can't find where the traditional family seat was.

One of the seats was Hornby Castle, Bedale.

This is a coincidence, my bloke had an ancestor who married into the benison family of hornby castle, fenwicks
