Has anybody else been to Whitby and bought a "world famous" Whitby Lucky Duck and if so, did it bring you the luck you needed?

I bought a Whitby Lucky duck and No it did not bring me any luck - I ended up with my mother in law living with me!!!!!!

Thats why the world famous bit is in inverted commas! My hubby and me bought one each back in 2002 and our lives turned round! After years of not working, i got a full time job which was fantastic, then in 2003 i got pregnant (totally unexpected) and we married in 2004!!! I know that doesn't sound anything special but our relationship was about finished,no sign of us having ANY kids together and certainly not marriage. We have never been happier. I know, its probably a coincidence but its nice to have a little something you hope may bring you good luck. Oh my hubby also put his in his top shirt pocket when he went to an interview for a great job, with good money that he was desperate for. He got it! I love my lucky duck, so if you ever visit Whitby(you should, it's beautiful) call in at the Lucky Duck shop! You never know. :-)
