Nice places to eat in Harrogate

I know this may be a bit of along shot, but it's our wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and usually end up down the local indian or a night in. For a change I would like us to go for a really nice meal, and not a pub meal. I don't think I've ever been for a posh meal, except our wedding day lol

So my question is: Can any recommend somewhere in Harrogate or Harrogate area, that isn't toooo expensive?

The Orchid restaurant on Swan Road, Harrogate (mixed Asian cuisne) is a good spot. Great food, nice atmosphere, has a bar you can move to & reasonable prices.

Like seafood? The Loch Fyne Restaurant may do it: http://www.lochfyne.com/pages/content.asp?PageID=547&RestID=70 and you can see if what they say about oysters is correct....also do meat as well as seafood of course. L/Fyne are all over the place now but good quality food and service is pretty well standard and not overly expensive.

I can strongly recommend the restaurant in the Hotel du vin & bistro, it has a fabulous bar for pre-dinner drinks and is very good value. It goes without saying that the wine list is, of course, superb.
