Good question allen63b.

Yesterday, i was wondering about what to do if i was driving in one direction and a hearse (and string of funeral cars) was coming towards me and was indicating to turn across my path into a side road.

Normally, i could quite possibly flash a 'normal' car to let it cross.

My question is: Is it the done thing to flash a hearse, or is it more respectful to 'ignore' it?

I'm normally quite a polite driver anyway and if I'm not driving at speed I'd probably allow them to turn.
I was taught by my Dad that you should allow a cortege to turn in front of you. This is out of respect and also keeps the vehicles together. In this day and age I would think it prudent to flash the hearse as he may be wondering if you are going to stop or not as there seems to be few manners on the road nowadays.

Oh good point. Thanks for that. I hadn't thought of the 'keeping them all together' point.

That makes a lot of sense.
