The Coconut Grove in Tuebrook had sticky floors and no locks on the ladies loo`s, plus they were usually flooded ! There were palms trees and a boat to sit in. Sometimes there would be a man with a real live snake at the top of the stairs as you went in ! Those where the days !
Not sure if the Broadway Club in Norris Green is still there, everyone would go on a Sunday night as it had a late bar.
tuppence2 - lived in L11 then, a taxi home only cost about �1.20 but have also done the long walk home via Breck Rd with shoes in hand when the taxi queue was too long! Couldn't do it now!
Coronaman - also remembered another caberet club was Pickwicks and up Hope Street there was a club called Chauffers, always remember it was empty in there!
