balaclava found in my garden...!

Hi,
on saturday night, early hours, I found a brand new balaclava behind a plant by my front door (which is about 3ft from the road.
i assume someone was up to no good and has dumped it on their way home.
or they could have stashed it to pick up later.
i brought it inside but i just don't know what to do - if anything?
as i say it looks brand new, though may have been put on a couple of times.
i don't know of any crimes committed locally but i won't know until my local weekly comes out on thursday.
should i do anything about this? if so what?

Ring your local police station and let them know, if it is important they will come up and collect it.

maybe someone just got attacked and stripped by the fashion police... No, I think JustSia's right, the real police will know if anything's been going on before the local paper does.

Unless it has eye-holes cut in the back, I can't imagine that it would be much use in a crime - never heard of a crim getting off because someone couldn't describe their ears and the back of their head!

i would let the police have it, if it has been used by someone committing a crime it may have skins cells or hair in it to connect it to the crime. i know there is a very slim chance that this may be the case i would still take it to the police xXx

If it has the labels still on and the price you could take it back to the shop for a refund.

you will all be pleased to know i have done the right thing!!

i have put soil in it and planted flowers in it and turned it into a hanging basket!

to keep in with the 'theme' i have used barbed wire to suspend it from a meat hook!

it works a treat!

the eye holes look especially good with a geranium or two hanging out of them!
