If/When England go though to the knockout stages, they will play on either a saturday or sunday at 4pm. I'm seriously considering taking the family to Thorpe Park. I'd normally stay away from paying 62 pounds to stand around in a queue all day but I'm thinking that it will be fairly empty on a match day. Bit of a gamble to take - does any one else think it will be quiet there? Is there a way of finding out how many were there last saturday as a guide?

I think it might be as, if not more, busy than usual. People will likely have the same idea as you and increase the numbers of people going.

The fact it's been sunny recently also doesn't help the cause as people will now be starting to go out a bit more at the weekends.

There might also be the "Husband at home watching football, wife takes the kids out" effect.
Hello - don't think that they are playing on a Sunday as I have had to reschedule my son's birthday to a Sunday for this reason!
sherrardk, sorry to tell you but we could well play on sunday, it depends whether we finish top of the group or second.
Just checked - you are talking about the final or third and fourth place games - I am talking about the Group winners and second in the group winners (if you see what I mean). I just need Sunday 2 July to be football free (as I am not writing 20 invites AGAIN!).
