Hi guys
I am thinking of moving to Canada, but first I would like to ask you two questions:

1. Can British citizens go and work there without a visa?
2. Are properties cheaper over there?

i'm not sure about the visa but my parents wanted to move us all over there. you definately get more for your money regarding property. what you pay for a 4 bed house here you can get 5 bed house with a pool and a lot of land with it. the standard of living over there is far higher than here and the education sysytem is excellent.(if you have children in mind!)
It is not easy to move to Canada unless you have a skill they want and need.

Properties are cheaper over there, but the monthly costs of running them can be much higher.
... and, coming from your relatively small Island Nation, you'd be in for a shock at the vast distances needed to go anywhere. Especailly out in the prairie provinces. Many Canadiens we know often complain of the isolation. Obviously not so much a factor if living in one of the major metroplexes...
Prepare to walk away very disappointed ... sorry to be a downer, but they don't make it easy ... (hmmm... a lesson to be learned closer to home maybe?)
friends of mine moved to Canada, sold there house here had a great place there very cheap, stayed a year didn t like it moved back, house prices here had risen so they had to down grade, the grass is not always greener on the other side
