Bank Holiday Ideas

Hi

I need some help with the forthcoming bank holiday - i dont want to stay at home with my oldies or the bf's oldies, so i have taken it upon myself to look for a short break, but am not sure where to go.

Any one got any ideas for a short bank holiday break? can be uk or in europe....

If you're planning on staying in the UK try a break at a Malmaison Hotel. The one at Oxford used to be HMP Oxford and is LUSH. Oxfords a lovely place too. I had the best weekend ever there! http://www.malmaison.co.uk/main.asp

we're going to cambridge for the weekend and got a great deal on a travel inn for �26 per room per night.

a city break is perfect for bank holiday as less travelling stress whilst still getting away from it all.

try bath, edinburgh, or even paris on the eurostar is v close these days!

Watch out for Edinburgh - August is the Festival month and you'll pay top wack in accommodation unless you stay outside the city. Tons to do though, and lots of info at: http://www.edinburgh.org

Why not go to Glasgow - good shopping, nightlife and people too - and make a day trip through to Edinburgh for the shows? Accomm. prices will be less, and there's a load to do there and easy to get to.

Or try South Wales - Straight down the M4, and keep going til you get to St Davids. Tenby, Pendine, Manorbier - all nice to stay at.

On basis you are in London - be a tourist in London too - do the Tower, Buck Palace, Westminster Cathedral, Zoo, etc etc. Its fun listening to the Americans comments on the trips . . . . . . (and others too of course...)
