I'm trying to identify the design name of a Shelley china
tea cup. I wonder if anyone will recognise it by my description.
On the base it says FINE BONE CHINA Shelley ENGLAND
The cup is is wide with gold leaf trim
There is a 2cm gold leaf small flower and leaf design on the outside and the inside rim. The flower looks like a daisy.
The most significant bit is the design in the bowl of the cup. It's 2 figures leaning on what seems to be a grey wall. The woman looks like a Gainsborough lady in a dark pink dress with a "pompadour" hairdo. The man is in blue and on the other side of the wall.
There is a rural scene in the background. Any ideas please?
