charlie & the choc. factory ride ...

at alton towers this summer there is a new ride with the name "charlie and the choc. factory" i think, and i was just wondering if anyone knew exactly what this would be? what kind of ride it is?

It's rubbish and unl;ess you have small children, I wouldn't bother.

It's basically a boat ride with characters from the film at the sides of the 'river'. Dead boring and nothing happens. If you ever went on the Toyland ride that was there before, it is essentially the same ride with different things at the side.

Then you get out of the boat and stand in the 'Glass Elevator'. The walls have film screens behind them to give the effect that you are whizzing about in the lift and it shakes about. This bit is better than the boat ride but still not worth queueing up for.

I agree totally, its terrible, the best thing about it is the great glass elevator, and you just feel motion sick when you get off it.

dont waste your time there and go on something like oblivion or air.

Definitely not worth bothering with. Even the small children I saw on there looked bored! The boat section is like the bubbleworks ride at Chessington but not as good.

There is also a large queue to get in as it is a new "ride"

I went to Alton Towers a few weeks ago and do find it has gone downhill a lot.

I think it is suffering from a lack of investment.

Just came back from Port Aventura in Spain and that is a FANTASTIC theme park, that is how to do it.
