Statistics show that the newer bonds tend to get the prizes. Is it worth selling my old bonds for new ones because mine have never won? If yes, how old should they be before selling them and buying new ones?

My experience says definitely yes. I've cashed in and re-purchased twice now, and each time have had a flurry of (albeit small) wins after the re-purchase. In my case it was three years' holding time. Take care of the timing, as you can lose two months' worth of prize-drawing if you time it badly.
