Get in touch with the Dept of Trade and/or the Dept of Transport for figures such as this. Alternatively if it's for individual ports, get in touch with the ones you're interested in. Their annual reports give these figures. Try their own websites too for this.

I spoke to a local air freight companies - http://www.radiuslogistics.co.uk/ about this and a few others for an environmental project and they said to contact the individual Port Companies
