Are you sure you don't mean Frensham ponds, Surrey ?

these are located near the A 287 Farnham to Hindhead road, Holyhead is in North Wales, or am I getting mixed up? Ray

I have definitely heard of Frensham Ponds near Hindhead(spent several very pleasant daytrips there).

Just head over to Farnham / Hindhead area from Newbury.

From Junction 4a on M3 follow signs to Farnham, turn left at railaway station and take A287. We are 5 miles along this road south of Farnham. From A3 turn onto A287, keep on this road for 5 miles, pass through the village of Churt and you will dirve past Frensham ponds.
