Thanks for that dot,what a wonderful character, the sort of person that makes you proud to be british, I also have a soft spot for jack Hargreaves and Fred Dibnah, they were real one offs,do you agree?

*********, Jack Hargreaves was brilliant, so laid back and his voice was so suited to the country programmes. Fred Dibnah was just a great enthusiast and mad with it. Do you remeber Blaster Bates by the way?

Yes dot, I love these characters,we are now sadly lacking in them now aren't we, jack Hargreaves was a National Treasure,so much knowledge,put across in a way that even a thickie like me could grasp

Ugh, Hannah Hauxwell always gave me the creeps like any recluse that chooses to cut themselves off. I remember seeing her house once on YTV and it looked disgusting.

Actually she didn't CHOOSE to cut herself off, she was left to run the family farm after they all died. She was not a recluse, she actually loved to see people and always had the time of day to welcome callers in and chat to them.
She is still living in the same area and still welcomes in passers by as that is the sort of person she is. You did not need to be quite so rude about a sweet old lady did you ?
