what went wrong with my mother in laws perm?

my mother in law had a perm on a friday and over the weekend her head started tingling really badly. she tolerated it for so long and by the thurs she had to go to see the doctor. he gave her a lotion to put on and it worked almost immediately. she is used to having perms so what went wrong this time. the girl was a different one to the one she used to have who had left. funnily enough this girl did ask at the beginning if she ever had any problems with perms before!! perhaps she had caused so many complaints of late that it was the norm for her and she is definitely doing something wrong!

She may have developed an allergic reaction to the perming lotion, It may have been over developed or out of date. The girl would have to ask if she was new to your mother in law it is a precaution, i wouldnt suspect she new anything sinister!

The lotions and formulas change all the time too, as they try to make them quicker, less damaging, less smelly etc so maybe the salon had got a new brand in?
