As a commercial pilot operating in the current atmosphere (no pun intended), I've found, within the last few days, that almost everything (I'm in the U.S.) that could previously be taken can still be taken as long as it's in your checked baggage. It's best not to have anything in tubes or sealed containers, including men's shave creams or any hairsprays, including non-pressurized ones and other similar items in your handbags or other carry-ons... you'll have to deposit them in the 50 gallon wastebasket at the security check areal. (What are they going to do with all that stuff?) One item that is not allowed in carry on that is a real concern for travelers since they can't very well dispose of them at the security station is their remote car starting "fobs". These and other such normally inane devices are suspect as detonators. There's even been some discussion of banning electronic wrist watches... that hasn't happened yet...Try to pack with as little carry on as possible... purses are okay, but don't take any tubes of lipstick... Safe travels!
