adopted mother - can i find out who my grandparents are?

can i find out who my adopted mothers parents are without her help, afterall they will be my actual grandparents?
im in England if this makes a difference..?

Possibly , I would think, if you know your mother's birth date and name at birth.Then it would simply be a matter of searching the Birth's, marriages and deaths on any genealogy site and obtaining her full birth certificate. If you don't know her birth name but know her place of birth and date you might be able to check the quarter for the registration district and get a "short list" and maybe work it out by a process of elimination.
