Doctors calculate 40 weeks from your last period.

The doctors will work out an accurate date from the scans and the size of limbs etc so working out a date yourself may be out by a month.

Bohne is right, they'll work out a date which is 40 weeks from the first day of your last known menstrual period and this wil be your due date. They will only alter this if the scan measurements suggest a much different birth date. Mine were 6 days different, so I got to chose lol
