Doing business with a Romany.

Hi, I am going to be doing a bit of business with a Traveller or Romany and I seem to recall its customary for a good luck payment to change hands at the end of the transaction. Can anyone confirm this, who it is from and to , is it a percentage or is it just a set sum.
And please - no rude cracks about Gypsies etc.

It's call "luck money" and if he's a traveller he wring that out of you anyway. It's only a token, no set percentage or amount, so make it as low as possible:) Kushti bok.

My family are originally gypsy,and I remember my great nan spitting on any money that was given to her, especially if it was a little more than she expected., I still do it, as nox says "luck money" and they will get it while smiling,if they are true gypsies you will be ok. good luck.
