Use the AA or RAC routefinders (on their websites) - enter start and end postcodes and it will give you the exact mileage.

Thanks QM
and the distance is: 127.3 miles
Routefinders do not give measurements "as the crow flies".

The distance as the crow flies would be between 102 and 109 miles depending on the exact location within each city from which the measurements were taken.
As TCF I reckon it's about 111.8 miles.

How can you tell that?
The measurement would be from BN3 to BA1, can you give an exact distance between these points?
Using Google Earth it is possible to measure global distances in centimetres. However, resolution issues often reduce this to metre accuracy.

Postcode districts are also inexact for measurement purposes since they can encompass areas of many square miles.

Using random locations within the postcode districts you have named (Bath BA1 - Charlotte St and Hove BN3 - Poynter Rd) gives a straight line distance of 102.14 miles.

Thanks for these answers, and for your help. Now can I be pedantic and ask the distance between Palmeira Square, BN3 2JA and Bath, BA1 2ED

thanks
Are you hoping to fly there?
Question Author
I am hoping to communicate with my girlfriend via a long-distance crow messaging service.
From the midpoint of Palmeira Sq. to the midpoint of George St. is 103.08 miles.
I make it 104 miles although why a crow would care one way or the other I cant imagine
Are crows known to fly in straight lines?
Question Author
I'm counting on it.
